MoodSnap Privacy Policy

1. Data Collection

MoodSnap does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. All mood entries, preferences, and settings are stored locally on your device using SQLite database.

We do not:

• Collect your name, email, or any contact information
• Collect your mood data or entries
• Track your location
• Access your photos, contacts, or other personal data
• Share your data with third parties (except as described below for advertising)

2. No Account Required

MoodSnap does not require user registration or login. There is no user account, email, or personal information collected. You can use the app completely anonymously.

3. Local Storage

All data (mood entries, preferences, settings) is stored locally on your device using SQLite database. This data is:

• Never transmitted to any server or third party
• Never synced to the cloud
• Completely private - only you can access it
• Under your control - you can export or delete it at any time

4. Google AdMob (Free Users Only)

For free users, MoodSnap displays banner ads through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect anonymized advertising data in accordance with Google's privacy policy. This data includes:

• Device ID (advertising identifier)
• Product interaction data (app launches, taps, clicks)
• Advertising data (ads viewed, clicked)

Important:

• This data is not linked to your identity (we don't know who you are)
• This data is not linked to your mood entries (AdMob doesn't see your mood data)
• This data is used only for advertising purposes (showing relevant ads)
• Premium users do not see ads and no advertising data is collected

5. In-App Purchases

Premium subscriptions are processed through Apple's StoreKit. Apple may collect purchase information in accordance with Apple's privacy policy. This includes:

• Purchase history (linked to your Apple ID)
• Subscription status

Important:

• Purchase data is used only for app functionality (activating Premium features)
• Purchase data is not used for advertising or tracking
• Purchase data is not shared with third parties (except Apple)

6. Data Export

You can export your mood data to PDF or CSV at any time. This export is done locally on your device and is not transmitted anywhere. You have complete control over your data.

7. Data Backup and Restore

MoodSnap allows you to backup and restore your data locally. This backup is stored on your device and is not transmitted to any server. You can share the backup file with yourself or restore it on another device.

8. Children's Privacy

MoodSnap is suitable for all ages (4+). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since we don't collect any personal information, this is not applicable.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.

10. Your Rights

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have complete control:

• Access: You can view all your data in the app
• Export: You can export your data to PDF or CSV
• Delete: You can delete your data at any time by uninstalling the app or using the clear data option
• Backup: You can backup your data locally

11. Third-Party Services

MoodSnap uses the following third-party services:

• Google AdMob: For displaying ads (free users only). See Google Privacy Policy
• Apple StoreKit: For processing in-app purchases. See Apple Privacy Policy
